Welcome to the GCRA

The Gloucester Ringette Association (G.R.A.) was founded in 1972 to promote and administer ringette in Gloucester. In 2002, Gloucester and Cumberland Ringette Associations merged to form the Gloucester-Cumberland Ringette Association (G.C.R.A.). Since then, the G.C.R.A. has grown into one of the largest of more than sixty associations in Ontario.

Today, with over 25 teams and 300+ players, coaches, and officials, the G.C.R.A. remains a dominant force on the provincial and national stage. In the National Capital Region, over 100 additional teams participate in an interlocking schedule of 130+ teams and 1,800 players.

Over the combined 50-year history, Gloucester competitive teams have earned nine Canadian Championships, seven national silver medals, and 30 Ontario titles across six age groups. Our annual Gloucester-Cumberland Tournament attracts over 100 teams from six provinces and is recognized as one of the largest and most prestigious ringette tournaments in the world.

The Gloucester-Cumberland “Devils” have competed at the elite level for over 35 years, offering meaningful competition for all skill levels and fostering life skills and teamwork. Our successful “AA,” “A,” “B,” “C,” “Provincial,” and Fundamentals programs, along with our acclaimed Bunny Program for beginner players, continue to develop top talent—many national and provincial champions began as “Bunnies.”

Our “A,” “B,” and “C” teams play an 18-game schedule in the National Capital Region Ringette League, facing opponents from the Ottawa Valley, l’Outaouais, and Montreal, and participating in multiple local and invitational tournaments. The annual Gloucester-Cumberland Invitational, held each February, combines all levels of play in eight age groups over four days and is known for its high level of competition and sportsmanship.
