Volunteer Screening - Vulnerable Sector Check

All GCRA volunteers who work closely with minor athletes and who occupy positions of trust and authority shall undergo screening (Police Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector).

• Please note you may apply online for the Vulnerable Sector Check with the Ottawa Police Services.
• The process may take as long as 2 weeks or more depending on time of year.
• Please choose the option of receiving your VSC via email.  
• When you receive it, save it to your computer so that you may upload it to RAMP.
• Please print the volunteer letter and add your name in the space provided. You will need to scan the letter so that it can be attached to your on-line submission for the VSC.
• If you are someone who typically has to be finger printed when applying for a VSC, please contact the Safety Director (gcrafin@gmail.com) for different instructions.
• VSCs must be completed and in hand at time of registration and must be uploaded into RAMP no later than November 1^st.  If this is not done, you will not be allowed to participate in any team activities as a volunteer (on ice, dryland, in change room, etc).
